Speedier Grant of Patents in Malaysia

The Malaysian Patent Office has increased its examining capacity to clear the backlog of pending patents to substantially reduce them, as the first PCT applications enter the national phase in Malaysia, beginning sometime in February 2008 (Malaysia joined the PCT on 16 August 2006).
